on friday, jared, hannah, sean & taylor met up with lee and i for a rockhouse event. these are the same guys who put on the annual st. patty’s day bar crawl so we knew we were in for a treat.
they had this offer called get rocked with the checkers. it was 1 hour of free beer at connollys or prohibition (we chose connollys) + 2 redbull vodkas + admission to the checkers game + 1 hour of free beer after the game. for $15!
i’m not huge on hockey, but i can be for all that additional stuff for fifteen bucks! it was my first hockey game and the checkers got their butts stomped on.
saturday morning, we had a late lunch at toast in dilworth. obviously accompanied by some saturday morning mimosas.
the afternoon was spent shopping for work clothes. yaaaawn. how boring, right? but i wouldn’t bring this up without a purpose. this girl over here got three skirts (red, blue, & tan) for $25 a piece at nordstrom rack and scored some red pumps for only $30.00 at tj maxx.
i’ve never been one to want to spend a fortune on work clothes, so i try and maximize what i already have with some statement pencil skirts. so next time before you pay $70 a skirt, check these places out. you could surprise yourself!
i paired them all together this morning with my new obsession – my sweater tights and a polka dotted shirt. i’ve recently been hooked on an h&m IV so the gold chain bracelet with my watch is from the online store. it was only $4.99!
but back to the weekend. saturday evening was spent with the walker family sippin’ on wine and strumming through the o brother where art thou soundtrack. i love nights like those.
sunday was spent being lazy & watching the 49ers go down. whoo! the game wasn't too exciting for ol' francesca though.
i’m already ready for friday.
