#trending | white + tan

dress: vestique // necklace: j. crew factory // watch: michael kors //gold bracelet: target {can you believe that?} // bracelet: forever 21; similar here // sunnies: j. crew factory // shoes: dolce vida at nordstrom rack {sold out} ; but found here //  crossbody: target // location: outside of dugans pub in pinehurst

as you've read, we had a wedding to go to this past weekend located near beautiful pinehurst, north carolina. the big nc is awesome because it's three house from the beach and two/three hours from the mountains. kinda like that cliche - the best of both worlds.

since lee's conference was there, we decided to explore what pinehurst had to offer before heading to the wedding.

...in 90 degree weather. boyfriend + full suit + please take these pictures + 90 degrees = a meltdown. seriously. lee survived though, thank goodness.

i walked into vestique hopeful for a dress to wear to the wedding and came out with this gorgeous number they call show your smarts in teal. it's form fitting & comfortable; everything you would want in something to wear to a formal event. the color is bold too; which to me is important because loud colors are taking over trends of this summer. i got a lot of compliments on it as well. the sleeves are ruffled just a tad and it clinches in at your waist in the most figure flattering way. i'm not a fan of super boxy dresses nor super tight club going dresses & this one is a far cry from either. it's the happy medium you're looking for. i have some hips & need to prove it!

before you go and call me out, yes, i'm aware this bag is matchy matchy. i forgot to pack another so it just had to do. if you know me, this internally felt like a knot in my stomach because i loathe matchy matchy. but it looks better than carrying around my phone, sunglasses, keys, lip gloss, reading glasses case, bandaids + anything else that you would find in a woman's purse, in my hands.

these shoes were perfect for the neutral in the outfit as they were tan + white. this is combo that doesn't get old. i found them at nordstrom rack; but are now sold out. however, would i be a blogger if i didn't find a solution? i found them at macy's. holler for most retail stores selling the same things.

the best part is they're comfortable. all night i didn't compain & that's a huge compliment coming from someone who's already 6'0 in heels. when it came time to throw the bouquet at the wedding, i was a good 6 inches taller than everyone. so if you're trying to get married, wear these shoes to have an advantage over all those girls shorter than you & grab that bouquet. however, we all know some girls (and ALL guys) shy away from that.

it's time to link up ladies! join zelle at a southern style, katie at champagne & suitcases, and kristina at medicine & manicures, and myself every tuesday to chat about what's #trending in your world & ours!
