hello from the married side.

i cannot believe it's been since early july when i last posted. and to be honest, this morning, i had zero intentions of posting today. but i've kind of missed blogging - going back and reading them, reading others, and documenting the fun things we did... it's had me thinking lately that perhaps i want to start it back up.

plus the wedding happened. yeah, the wedding happened. and it was the best experience of my life to date and you dang better believe i'm sharing it with you.

however, let's start with a little recap of what we've been up to since the last time we chatted back mid way through the summer. here's the last 3 months in a snapshot.

my girls took me to myrtle beach for my bachelorette party. we partied like it was going out of style - complete with champagne on the beach, a ride in a beach dune buggy, and one too many beach bars. there were a few other unmentionables, so i'll just let your mind wander. our goal for the weekend was #givingCrutetheboot - and let's just say we did exactly that.

i had this idea to do a color block theme on saturday night, and it's seriously one of my favorite pictures.

i had my bridal portraits done a month before the wedding. i can't wait to talk about this experience & share more of the amazing work by garrett of carolina portrait designs.

the following weekend on august 1st, one of my best friends & bridesmaid, taylor, threw lee and i an amazing stock the bar party. lee smoked a pork butt, and we had all the sides. taylor even had smores for dessert! some flip cup was played on our back deck and it was the perfect way to kick off our wedding month. taylor really amazed me with her party planning side and really made this special for us. i couldn't thank her enough.

see that selfie stick action down there? we truly are loved.

and then on august 29, 2015 - i became mrs. amanda walker.

good god. i teared up writing that. okay, now i'm kinda stoked that i'm writing again.

the next week after the wedding, we honeymooned in antigua. just WAIT until i get into this later. heck, even i'm jealous of me. it was an absolute paradise.

and then i chopped my hair off. 8 inches.

and the beautiful allyson above got married on october 17th and became mrs. brock.

and then in mid october, i sat front row (behind the pit section) at a taylor swift's 1989 show in greensboro. if you know me, you know i have stared at this picture in a semi-creepy way more times that i want to admit. if you also know me, you know i'm semi-sarcastic. and if you REALLY know me, you know i cried my eyes out the whole time at this show. hands down one of my favorite moments to be this close to my favorite artist. it was my 5th time seeing taylor and i no longer have any more words.

luna is now gigantic. she's currently 5 months old and 65 pounds. nope, that's not a typo. find puppy pictures here and be prepared to pick your jaw up off the floor.

and finally we had halloween this past saturday night. i went as a black panther. 6-0 BABY!! hoping to get another win tonight. it took me entirely too long to perfect these whiskers - which is really sad. regardless, we had a blast having a night out on the town. it was my first night out in charlotte since the wedding!!

looking forward to talking all things wedding/life soon. i'm headed to new york this morning for work. i've never been to new york before! i'm only in town for 1 day for a meeting, but excited nonetheless.

and yes, the title of this post is a play off of adele's "hello" - that song is so sad, but so powerfully written. i know i can't be the only one to think that!
